NACADA Technology Seminar

November 24, 2008

Hello All!

I am setting this Blog up in conjunction with my colleagues: Laura Pasquini, Eric Stoller, and Karen Thurmond. We will be working together at The NACADA Technology Seminar. This seminar provides an opportunity for academic advisors to get hands on experience with Web 2.0 technologies. Each participant will have the opportunity to plan for the use of new technologies in their work, and get feedback on their plans.

Looking forward to seeing you in Clearwater Beach, FL in February 2009 !

Change in Concurrent Session

February 5, 2009

I changed my concurrent presentation on surveys to tools for assessments since so many people had experiences with surveys, based on our pre-seminar survey.  The new concurrent session description is:

Tools for Assessment: Want some fast feedback from students, colleague or administrators? Why not use an easy to use survey tool? Are you assessing qualitative data or situation? Why not use a rubric? Do you need easy access to a tool for training? Why not a Web 2.0 CRM or LMS? This session will review several uses of these tools, options when considering vendors, and the pros and cons of using these easily assessable tools.

This change in the concurrent session schedule will be on February 12 for the concurrent sessions at 11:00 am to 12:30 pm  and the one from 1:45 to3:15 pm.
